Neumarkt an der Ybbs -

The VACCINE project is a joint initiative of four different EU partners to address the important issue of online learning during a pandemic or similar major shock in society that changes teaching from traditional methods.

The first intellectual output of the project is a literature review. The literature review includes an examination of already available research content on empirical data and experiential learning about the European pandemic COVID19.

It includes a description of what COVID19 and the VACCINE project are.
It also describes the VET systems in Finland, Italy, Austria and Germany.
It presents scenarios of the four countries and Europe in general on how the pandemic has affected the organization of educational institutions.
It includes teachers', students' and pupils' views on distance education and learning in each of the four countries.
It identifies teaching methods and technologies that were used during the pandemic.
The report concludes with recommendations on pedagogical approaches for students with special needs, assistive technologies and promoting equity and equality.

This project has received funding from the Erasmus+ Programme (KA226 – Partnerships for Digital Education Readiness) under grant agreement Nr.: 2020-1-FI01-KA226-VET-092679.
